Neil Taurinskas Wins LogiSolve Scholarship

CHISAGO CITY, MN -- Neil Taurinskas from Chisago Lakes High School is the winner of the 2008 LogiSolve Scholarship. Neil has maintained a GPA of 3.927; 11th out of 275 graduating seniors at Chisago Lakes High School. Neil will be attending the University Of Minnesota Institute Of Technology with Mathematics major in the fall.
Neil is captain of the varsity soccer team where he was All-Conference for the 2007-2008 season and All-Conference Honorable Mention as a junior. He also tutored fellow students in College Psychology, College Algebra, and College Calculus. Neil’s hobbies include fishing, hockey (he plays on a team with his father) and skateboarding, where he was invited to competition in Texas last September.
Neil lives in the Chisago Lakes area with his parents, Mike and LaReine. Next year his older brother Nick hopes to be accepted into the Pre-Med program at University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and Neil and Nick hope to room together in 2009-10.
The LogiSolve Scholarship is offered through the Chisago Lakes Education Foundation and is given to graduating seniors who have excelled in the classroom and in the community.
