Job Summary:
The Enterprise Analytics Manager is an analytics expert capable of supervising an Enterprise Analytics department while providing support in the day-to-day processes utilizing Oracle Analytics Server software. This position involves both hands-on architecture and development work as well as leading a team of developers to deliver high-impact reporting and data analytics to various departments within the business (e.g., Sales, Procurement, Project Management, and Finance). This position must maintain a high level of business and financial acumen to understand the internal business functions while utilizing Oracle tools in a cloud environment to implement data governance within the business. The company is moving from an analytics platform called Incorta to the Oracle Analytics platform so this person will be assisting with the transition and continuing to develop and refine any analytics required from the company.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop, maintain, and execute an Enterprise Analytics strategy and roadmap
- Act as the primary architect for the Oracle Analytics Server roadmap
- Develop ETL (Extract-Transform-Load), Metadata and reports utilizing the Oracle Analytics technology stack
- Partner with business teams to understand their business processes and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Utilize analytics expertise to test, measure, analyze, understand, and answer various business questions
- Track, troubleshoot, and resolve reporting issues identified by the business
- Document technical processes and procedures in the context of analytics
- Prepare for and test the reporting and analytics components of Oracle EBS and Salesforce upgrades
- Create a high performing team through talent planning, hiring, mentoring, and performance management
- As a thought leader, foster innovation and serve as an advocate of a data-driven culture
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent problem-solving skills, current knowledge of technology and the ability to be a constant learner.
- Understanding of business and financial acumen including, but not limited to: budgets, spend analysis, buy downs, cash to cash cycle time, etc.
- Data and detail-orientated, high degree of accuracy.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks; demonstrated ability to successfully meet project timelines and goals in a fast paced, changing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Skilled in Excel used for tracking and analysis.
- Able to work well in a team environment as well as individually.
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing data sets.
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases.
- Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
Education:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 6 years working experience
- Minimum of 3 years technical experience in Data Warehousing with an ERP system as the primary source (Oracle E-Business Suite preferred)
- At least 2 years as a team leader or people leader with direct reports
Experience Preferred/Other Qualifications:
- Oracle Analytics tools (OAS, OAC, or OBIEE)
- At least one ETL tool such as Oracle Data Integrator/ODI or Informatica
- Oracle Database 19c or 21c including building SQL queries and writing PL/SQL code
- Oracle Cloud (SaaS, PaaS and IaaS)
- Experience in Data Warehousing with Salesforce as a data source a plus
- UNIX shell scripting and/or PHP scripting a plus
