Responsibilities
- Audit, document, modify and implement firewall rules for corporate and production environments
- Document, implement and maintain policies, procedures for network environment
- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation
- Provide high quality support for external participants on connectivity issues by attaining a high level of expertise regarding Surescripts network interfaces. Assisting with customer and vendor troubleshooting and support for network issues
- Accountable for network technologies including Intrusion Detection Systems, Firewall, load balancers, desktop/laptop LAN support, Microsoft Exchange servers, soft IP PBX & Cisco VoIP, WAN management & capacity planning, digital certificate PKI management, Anti-SPAM, DNS, disaster recovery planning & testing of the network
- Document network problems and resolution to build a knowledge base
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in computer science, information sciences or related field or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in related, progressive roles where telecommunications network skills were applied and enhanced
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts &products
- Experience and thorough knowledge of network, operating systems, hyper visor including TCP/IP, Windows, UNIX/Linux, IOS, .
- Experience and thorough knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts (route/switch) & products (e.g. Frame Relay, MPLS, IPSEC/SSL VPN,VOIP)
- Thorough knowledge of firewall & load balancer concepts as well as hand-on experience with products.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with system administration including any of the following: Windows 2003/2008, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, HP/UX, Linux
- Experience with IPAM tools like Netbox
- Experience with EDI/web services environment
- Experiencewith Cisco NX-OS (7K/5K/2K/1000V)
- Experience with F5 GTM and LTM production and VIPRION platform
- Experience with VMWare ESXi 4.X or 5.X
