About the role:
The Marketing Communications Specialist for WATCHMAN Direct to Referrer (DTR), based in Maple Grove, MN, is responsible for developing and executing content and communications that are aligned to the WATCHMAN DTR business objectives and corresponding marketing programs.
The ideal candidate can translate customer insights into actionable omnichannel plans, content strategies and programs that increase awareness and motivate action amongst our HCP and patient audiences. Qualified candidates will also understand strategies and tactics of today's digital marketing ecosystem, the broader media landscape, and consumer brand management competencies.
Responsibilities will include:
• Leads the development and execution of strategic communications plans that support WATCHMAN product and franchise activities, including the use of appropriate channels, messages and communications tactics to HCP and patient audiences. Develops a solid understanding of products, customers and market.
• Communicates proactively to all stakeholders, managing expectations, timelines and logistics.
• Partner with both functional and cross-functional partners to develop and pull-through messaging for HCP and patient audiences across all touchpoints.
• Produces communications materials ensuring consistency while following established guidelines, processes and tools. Provides recommendations where appropriate.
• Develops strong relationships with key customers, internal and external; serving as a liaison for initiatives.
• Leverage proven skills in organizing, executing, and managing projects utilizing tools and templates that aid in tracking and communicating project status and next steps. Proactively communicate and work with key stakeholders to remove impediments.
• Partners with and manages vendors to ensure that initiatives meet objectives. Provides guidance and feedback on areas of continuous improvement.
• Defines tracks and maintains budgets. Ensures cost-saving measures and spending within allocated amount. Provides recommendations on franchise budgets where appropriate.
• Evaluates program impact and metrics for projects and/or launches. Provides recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Maintains and enhances knowledge of communications and industry trends and best-in-class practices as related to responsibilities.

Education/Experience/Skills required:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or Business, is required.
• At least 7 years of direct experience with developing successful marketing communication plans and materials in healthcare, with specific experience in HCP audiences
• Excellent copywriting and editing of marketing materials for various audiences
• Collateral/content development for use in multiple communications channels, especially digital channels
• Strong demonstrated organizational and project management skills
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and partner with internal/external stakeholders
Preferred:
• Agency experience preferred
