Logisolve has had the opportunity to be closely involved with the inception, design, and enterprise-wide delivery of multiple enterprise solutions related to the exchange of electronic data for pharmacy services. As a Healthcare focused solution’s company with emphasis in technology and business process, our business is to deliver custom enterprise solutions for our clients. Many of those solutions have been around pharmacy/benefit related verticals.

Logisolve has successfully implemented enterprise solutions for many healthcare leaders and we have found that in order for the integration project to be a success, it is imperative that the project team is very familiar with existing ePrescription, EMR vendor applications, and potential integration points that may exist surrounding the electronic prescription space. Logisolve develops solutions within this space.

Logisolve’s ePrescription practice is led by Robert Mohr. Rob has lead several Enterprise ePrescription implementation projects in several different environments, including acute/ambulatory care, retail clinic, and long term care. He has recently been nominated for the second straight year by the National Council of Prescription Drug Programs for a WG11 Most Valuable Participant (MVP) award. The purpose of the MVP award is to recognize individual members of the Council who have contributed an extraordinary amount of leadership, time and effort to a work group or committee project that results in the accomplishment its goals.

Logisolve has also been an industry leader in implementing electronic standards used by the health care industry. By getting involved with standards such as HL7, NCPDP Script, and x12, Logisolve is positioned to better assist our clients when entering the electronic transmission arena.

One example of many current and past ePrescription projects includes implementing the ePrescription process for a fortune 500 healthcare company. Our services included planning and strategy, as well as development and technical integration work. Logisolve was responsible for creating, leading and delivering a solution and process for electronically enabling a clinical software application.

As is the case with all of our ePrescription implementations, our client's clinical software can now provide the physician up-to-date and patient-specific formulary information and medication claims history direct from the patient's Pharmaceutical Management Branch (PBM) on a real-time basis. The application can also exchange electronic prescriptions and refill requests with both mail order and retail pharmacies.

These enhancements improve patient safety by giving a more complete view of the patients medication history, promotes formulary compliance by providing the information early in the prescribing process, and improves timeliness and accuracy of scripts that are exchanged electronically rather than hand written. Time spent on the phone by physicians and payers is reduced greatly by giving the physician more information early in the process.
