One example of our current e-Prescription projects includes implementing the e-Prescription process for a fortune 500 healthcare company, including planning and strategy, and technical integration work. In this project, LogiSolve is responsible for creating, leading and delivering the process of electronically enabling a clinical software application. The clinical software now can provide the physician up to date and patient specific formulary information and medication claims history direct from the patient's PBM on a real time basis. The application can also exchange electronic prescriptions and refill requests with both mail order and retail pharmacies. These enhancements improve patient saftey by giving a more complete view of the patients medication history, promote formulary compliance by providing the information early in the prescribing process, and improve timeliness and accurateness of scripts that are exchanged electronically rather than hand written. Time spent on the phone by physicians and payers is reduced greatly by giving the physician more information early in the process.
